How often you will need to replace filters will depend heavily on what you use your equipment for. Follow the instructions on our Filters Page for marking the gauge at 100%. Additional tips are there to help increase the life of your filters as well.
Generally you will replace the filters in stages, starting with the Pre-skin(if applicable), which should be changed after EVERY use for maximum life and efficiency of the rest of the filters. The rest of the filters will vary based on heaviness of use and particulate being filtered. At a 50% change from your 100% mark, change the next filter after the Pre-skin. This should bring you back up to the 80-95% range, if it does not, change the next filtration stage and check again.
Activated Carbon filters are in place primarily for odor removal. They can become clogged over time if the previous filters ae not changed regularly, but more commonly will need changing once your start to notice more odor while running. These will absorb moisture from the air as well, so it is advised to bag carbon filters in plastic when not in use.
Setup instructions can be found in the instruction manual. If you procured a unit that did not include one, please locate the Model number that should be stamped on a nameplate attached to the front of the gauge box. Contact us and provide the Model number and we can provide you a new instruction manual with setup instructions for the track system, filters, and operating instructions as well as part reorder numbers. If you cannot find the Model number (missing nameplate etc.) please contact us for assistance in determining the correct Model number.
